• OBSEREGIO - Center for Transboundary Assessment of the Impact of Universities in Regional Tissue, project developed in partnership with research teams from the University of Beira Interior and University of Evora in Portugal and University of Extremadura and University of Salamanca in Spain. The overall project aim is to assess the contribution of universities in developing the regional fabric as part of innovation, creation and development of enterprises and training of human resources. The project is1A2S_MARK_0910 funded through the Interreg III A, started in September 2004 and concluded in December 2006.

• "Aplication of the Institutional Economic Theory to the Foundation of Emterprises: Comparative Empiric Analisis Extremadura – Beira Interior ", Research project submitted and approved by the Luso -Spanish actions, together with a team from the University of Extremadura. The action was approved and funded by CRUP, Council of Rectors of Portuguese Universities for the period 2005/2006.
